“Shame is the most powerful and effective emotion. It’s a fear of not being good enough.”
Dr. Brene Brown
One of the most significant and common problems in clients in psychotherapy, directly or indirectly, is shame. Most of the time, experiencing shame and talking about it is really difficult but experiencing shame helps people to recognize other aspects of themselves and watch themselves in a different way.
In brief, we all have shame inside, we just need to strive to find and experience it. In my belief, processing shame is the first step of self-examination.
