About Rebecca Jorgensen

Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen, a pioneer in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), is a certified therapist, supervisor, and one of the original EFT trainers. With decades of experience, she trains therapists internationally, including in North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. As co-owner of the EFT Counseling and Education Center and developer of “Building a Lasting Connection,” Dr. Jorgensen combines clinical practice with her passion for advancing therapist education and strengthening families through secure emotional bonds​.

Dr. Debi Gilmore, owner of Lasting Connections Counseling and co-owner of the EFT Counseling and Education Center, is an expert in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). With advanced training in trauma and PTSD, she focuses on strengthening emotional connections and resolving relational challenges. A published author and supervisor, she is also active in community leadership and program development. Dr. Gilmore holds a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and specializes in attachment-based trauma healing.

Hamed Fatahian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), practicing in California and Michigan. Founder of Heartfelt Flourish Psychotherapy, he leads a practice across several states and is a PhD student at Michigan State University, focusing on multicultural couples and families. With extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), he integrates evidence-based models in his work, specializing in telehealth, supervising international therapists, and translating key therapeutic texts into Farsi, including Sue Johnson’s “Attachment Theory in Practice”.

Javad Forouzan, with a bachelor’s in Western Philosophy and a master’s in Clinical Psychology, is an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist. He specializes in helping couples improve emotional connections and build resilient relationships. As co-founder of “Gharar,” a team of psychologists, Javad is well-known for his educational contributions to social media, enhancing public understanding of psychology and couples therapy.
